W.W.A.M.

W.W.A.M. - Giving families more hope, more time, more life.
The Church of God International Women’s Ministries has adopted the Christian Hospital Medical Clinic in Honduras for the 2026-2027 Women With A Mission (WWAM) Project. The
hospital is in urgent need for an Intensive Care Unit within the hospital to save lives of critically ill patients who currently risk death if not transferred quickly. Would you consider giving?
1. Mission and Impact: The hospital was founded in 1985 to serve the poorest and most vulnerable populations in Honduras, especially pastoral families. It now serves an
average of 1,500 patients monthly and is recognized as a Level 3 hospital by the Ministry of Health.
2. Comprehensive Services and Growth:
The hospital offers a wide range of medical services, including general medicine, emergency care, multiple specialties, surgeries, and diagnostics. It has grown to 50 permanent staff and over 30 external specialists, with its own facility and increasing patient demand.
3. ICU Project and Immediate Needs:
The hospital's top priority is establishing an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) to save lives of critically ill patients who currently risk death if not transferred quickly. The ICU requires significant investment in equipment (notably an artificial
respirator) and infrastructure, with a total short-term budget of $411,500.
4. Sustainability and Expansion Plans:
The hospital is committed to self-sustainability through responsible financial management and reinvestment of revenues. Medium-term goals include a new operating room, expanded parking, and a new electric generator to support further growth and partnerships.
5. Risk Management and Accountability:
The proposal outlines clear risk mitigation strategies for economic instability, insufficient donations, and unexpected expenses. Key personnel are identified for project oversight, and the hospital commits to regular progress reports and impact measurement to ensure transparency and accountability.
